Leon Goretzka is still unsure on his future and could even sign a new Schalke deal, reports Kicker, via Get German Football.
The Germany international is out of contract at the end of the season and Bayern Munich and Barcelona are both pursuing his signature.
Goretzka has already rubbished reports he has reached a verbal agreement with Bayern and now there are reports suggesting he could even end up renewing with Schalke.
The 22-year-old has a good relationship with Schalke head coach Domenico Tedesco and the Bundesliga outfit are hopeful that could work in their favour in continued contract talks.

However, it is likely that Goretzka will only agree to renew his contract if there is a buy-out clause included.
The German midfielder has made a positive start to the season, scoring four goals from nine league appearances. In fact, no central midfielder has found the back of the net more times in Germany’s top-tier this term.
