Nice have announced they have reached a deal in principle to sign Wesley Sneijder on a one-year deal.
Sneijder is a free agent after leaving Turkish giants Galatasaray at the end of last season and will formally join Nice after undergoing his medical.
The 33-year-old has spent the last four years with Galatasaray but is now returning to one of Europe’s top leagues where he will reunite with former Inter team-mate Mario Balotelli.
Nice have managed to sign high profile names in recent years after landing Hatem Ben Arfa and Dante in addition to Balotelli.
In the last three Turkish Super Lig campaigns, Sneijder has provided at least four more assists than any other player (24).
