West Ham suffer another long-term injury blow

West Ham’s chances of finishing in the top four have been dealt another significant blow with Manuel Lanzini set to miss the next six weeks through injury, the club has announced.

Slaven Bilic’s side are already without Dimitri Payet, Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho until next year as injuries begin to mount up around the busy festive period.

Lanzini, who is on a season-long loan deal from Al Jazira, has started the season brightly and has courted reported interest from Liverpool.

However, the Argentine forward was ruled out contention prior to their 0-0 draw with Manchester United on Saturday and will now miss the next six weeks with a groin injury.

No West Ham player has completed more dribbles than Lanzini in the Premier league this season (32).
