Sevilla announce arrival of Everton flop

Sevilla have announced the arrival of Everton striker Sandro Ramirez on loan for the rest of the season.

Sandro only joined Everton in the summer but has endured a nightmare six months in England.

The Toffees were hailed for their ability to sign the 22-year-old ahead of Atletico Madrid in the summer but he has already been handed a route back to Spain.

Sevilla announced the arrivals of Roque Mesa and Miguel Layun earlier this week and have now completed a hat-trick of loan deals with the capture of Sandro.

“Sandro Ramirez passed his medical this morning and has now signed his contract with Sevilla FC, after an initial deal for his loan was agreed this Tuesday between Sevilla and Everton,” a statement read on the club’s official website.

The former Spain U21 international only managed one goal in 13 appearances for Everton in all competitions, but last season netted 14 La Liga goals for Malaga.

Sevilla already have Wissam Ben Yedder and Luis Muriel in attack and will hope Sandro’s arrival will help improve their tally of 27 goals in 21 league matches this term.
