Prandelli resigns as Valencia manager

Valencia have announced Cesare Prandelli has tended his resignation with immediate effect just three months into the job.

Prandelli, 59, was only made Valencia manager at the start of October to replace Pako Ayestaran following their poor start to the season.

However, Valencia have failed to make any significant progress under the Italian, who reportedly gave the club four transfer targets ahead of the January transfer window that the club were unwilling to sign.

As a result the former Italy manager has quit as manager, with Voro Gonzalez set to take over first-team duties until a replacement manager is found.

Prandelli only managed to win three of his 10 matches in charge of Los Che and leaves the club only above the bottom three on goal difference.
