Atletico Madrid have scouted PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet, according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, via Football Orange.
The La Liga giants reportedly sent technical director Andrea Berta to watch Zoet in PSV’s 3-0 win over Porto in pre-season last week.
Atletico came to know of Zoet’s ability in their Champions League encounter with PSV last season in which both legs ended 0-0, before Diego Simeone’s side eventually went through on penalties.
Zoet, 25, still has three years remaining on his existing deal with the Dutch champions and it would take a significant offer for Atletico to prize him away.
Only Jasper Cillessen (44) has kept more clean sheets in the last three Dutch top-flight campaigns than Zoet (34).
