Fabian Delph is set for another lengthy spell on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury during England’s 2-0 win over Switzerland on Tuesday.
Delph, who had only recently recovered from the same injury, lasted just nine seconds into England’s victory at Wembley and is now likely to miss the remainder of this month’s action.
The 25-year-old has endured a torrid time since making the £9m switch from Aston Villa to City this summer. In fact, the England midfielder has only managed 17 minutes of Premier League football this season with two substitute appearances for the table toppers.
