Spurs star turns down China switch

Tottenham defender Danny Rose has rejected the chance to move to China to instead help the Premier League side win silverware, reports the Sun.

Rose has become a key man for Spurs, but is currently sidelined until the end of February with a knee problem.

It’s since been revealed that he has been offered £14.5m per yer to turn out for Shanghai SIPG who are currently managed by former Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas.

He has turned that offer down, however, as the England international is keen to help fire the north London side to domestic and continental glory.

Shanghai SIPG are believed to have offered £38m to sign the 26-year-old, who is also attracting interest from both Manchester United and Manchester City.

Rose, though, has no interest in leaving third-placed Tottenham, with his relationship with Mauricio Pochettino a key reason to stay at White Hart Lane.

Spurs travel to Belgium to face Gent in the Europa League on Thursday night before an FA Cup tie with London rivals Fulham on Sunday.
