Spurs midfielder pens new deal

Tottenham have announced Mousa Dembele has put pen to paper on a new four-and-a-half year deal with the club.

Dembele, 28, is currently enjoying his finest season to date in a Tottenham shirt having previously flattered to deceive since his arrival from Fulham in 2012.

The Belgium international has developed into a first-team regular under Mauricio Pochettino this season and the midfielder is delighted to extend his stay at White Hart Lane, having entered the final 18 months of his previous deal.

“I am very happy I’ve signed and I’m happy to be part of our future,” Dembele told Spurs TV.

“The way we’re playing, the way the club is developing, everything is very good and everyone wants to be part of this team and this club.

“That’s why I’m proud to extend my contract.
