Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan are keen on making Gareth Bale the highest paid player in Chinese football history, reports the Telegraph.
Bale is on the verge of leaving Real Madrid after six years in Spain with Zinedine Zidane over the weekend admitting: “We hope he leaves soon. It would be best for everyone.”
The Wales international joined Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2013 and a return to the north London side has been mooted.
Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in Bale, but his high wage demands have complicated any possible move to England.
Beijing Guoan have the financial backing to bring Bale to the far east and are prepared to match, or better, his £600,000-a-week wages.

However, it remains to be seen whether Bale would favour a move to China, with a potential deal to take him to PSG on the cards, which may see Neymar move to the Bernabeu, mooted.
The transfer window in China shuts on July 31st, so Beijing Guoan are against the clock to get the transfer over the line.
Beijing Guoan recently sacrificed top spot in the Chinese Super League to Guangzhou Evergrande after a 1-0 loss at Jiangsu Suning FC on Sunday.
