Leicester quoted £50m for Bournemouth starlet

Bournemouth have warned Leicester they will have to pay £50m to land David Brooks this summer, claims The Sun.

The Cherries have been gutted of their best player this summer following relegation from the Premier League, raking in more than £70m in sales.

Nathan Ake, Aaron Ramsdale and Callum Wilson have all secured high profile moves with Joshua King and Brooks next in line to leave.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for both Bournemouth players in the past and it has now emerged Leicester are keen on Brooks.

The Wales international was limited to just nine Premier League appearances last season due to injury following a thoroughly impressive breakthrough campaign in 2018/19.

Brooks, 23, scored seven goal and provided five assists in his first Premier League season for Bournemouth following a summer move from Sheffield United in 2018.

Leicester have endured a fairly frustrating summer after losing Ben Chiwell to Chelsea and only signing a replacement in Timothy Castagne.

The Foxes still haven't managed to replace Harry Maguire from last summer and Brendan Rodgers wants to bolster his offensive options following their end-of-season collapse last term.
