Madrid to give improved terms to midfielder

Real Madrid are in talks to extend Marco Asensio’s deal by a further two years to keeping him contracted to the club until 2022, reports AS.

Asensio, 20, spent last season on loan at Espanyol and thoroughly impressed under first Sergio Gonzalez and then Constantin Galca.

Zinedine Zidane’s side are still unsure whether to include Asensio in their squad for the upcoming season and much of that will depend on what happens with Isco and James Rodriguez this summer.

However, Madrid still see Asensio as part of their long-term future and want to extend his current deal despite the fact he still has four years left on his existing one.
