Hull manager Mike Phelan has confirmed the club will begin contract talks with Robert Snodgrass shortly.
Snodgrass’ deal is due to expire at the end of the season and the Scotland international had revealed no talks had taken place to extend his stay at the club.
The 29-year-old has arguably been one of Hull’s most important players in the Premier League this season and Phelan has confirmed the club have every intention of keeping hold of midfielder.
“That will be taken care of in due course,” talkSPORT quote as saying. “We will pay attention to that as he is an important football player. We will be dealing with that pretty shortly.”
The Tigers are currently in the bottom three on goal difference having only managed to win one of their last six league matches. Not only have they scored the fewest goals (11), they have conceded the most in the division (28).
Without Snodgrass this season, Hull would be without 36% of the goals they have scored.
