Arsenal are ready to pull off their second Lyon raid in the space of 12 months by signing captain Nabil Fekir this summer, reports The Sun.
The Gunners shelled out a club-record £46.5m to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon 12 months ago and now want to reunite the striker with his former team-mate.
Fekir has flourished in Lacazette’s absence this season and also coped well with the added weight of responsibility that comes with being club captain.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from Lyon in the past and interest will be at an all-time high this summer following his standout performances this season.
Arsenal bolstered their offensive options in January by signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and now want to sign Fekir from Lyon.
The £50m-rated Lyon captain has scored or assisted 24 goals in 27 Ligue 1 appearances this season (17 goals, seven assists).
Furthermore, only Neymar and Florian Thauvin have won the WhoScored Man of the Match award as many times as Fekir in Ligue 1 this term (12).
