Inter in talks to sign new Brazilian forward

Inter have opened talks with Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin to sign versatile forward Matheus Cunha, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.

Cunha has been a revelation for Hertha since joining from Bundesliga rivals RB Leipzig at the start of the year and could now leave after only six months at the club.

The 21-year-old was highly rated during his time at Leipzig but sought a January move away in order to find regular playing time.

Cunha has found that and much more at Hertha where he has managed four goals in his first seven league appearances for the club.

The Brazilian Under-23 international has also picked up the WhoScored Man of the Match award twice in that time to help push Hertha well clear of the relegation zone.

Inter have been tracking Cunha's progress for the past two years and are now in talks with Hertha about a potential deal for the forward.

Cunha has picked up a WhoScored rating of 7.74 in the Bundesliga with Hertha, which is enough to rank third of all players in the division (excluding his time at Leipzig).
