Barcelona have been told they will need to pay Mesut Ozil £330,000-a-week in order to convince the Arsenal midfielder to return to Spain, claims AS.
Ozil’s current Arsenal deal is due to expire at the end of the season and the Germany international looks destined to leave the Emirates.
Arsene Wenger has already conceded that Arsenal may look to sell Ozil in January rather than lose him for nothing in the summer, with Barcelona reportedly interested in his services.
The 29-year-old will be free to sign a pre-contractual agreement with foreign clubs from January 1 and he has reportedly already told Barcelona he will only join them if his wage demands are met.
Since joining Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013, Ozil has provided more assists than any other Premier League player (45).
