Roma have stepped up their interest in Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg with a €15m (£13.2m) offer, reports Mediaset Premium, via Football Italia.
Dolberg’s agent revealed the Denmark international would struggle to turn down Roma if they tabled a formal offer and the Serie A giants have made their move for the 19-year-old wonderkid.
The teenager made a breathtaking breakthrough campaign for Ajax last season and was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United at one point.
Roma have already signed Hector Moreno and Rick Karsdorp from Eredivisie this summer but they will need to improve their initial offer as Ajax are not interested in entertaining any offers below €20m (£17.6m).
Dolberg scored 16 goals in 29 league appearances last season, finishing as the club’s top goalscorer. Furthermore, of the 109 players that attempted at least 15 dribbles in the Europa League last season, Dolberg had the best success rate (94.1%).
