Chelsea have earmarked Manuel Pellegrini as their next manager to take over at Stamford Bridge, reports Marca.
The Blues are on the lookout for a new manager after relieving Jose Mourinho of his duties at Stamford Bridge.
Guus Hiddink is currenty in interim charge of the west London side and will be at the helm until the end of the season.
However, the Dutchman is unlikely to be in charge beyond the end of the current campaign, with a number of managers linked with a switch to the English capital.
Diego Simeone is supposedly one of the favourites to succeed Mourinho, but Chelsea could look to Pellegrini in the summer.
The Chilean is expected to be handed his marching orders, with Pep Guardiola rumoured to be taking over at the Etihad Stadium after opting against extending his stay at Bayern Munich.
