Everton have made an ambitious approach to sign Arsenal target Julian Draxler, reports the Independent.
The Germany international has made it obvious that he is looking to leave Wolfsburg this summer, though the Bundesliga side are adamant that he won't be departing the club.
Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for Draxler in recent months and it's believed they will look to sign the youngster during the transfer window.
However, Everton are now looking to trump the Gunners in their pursuit of the 22-year-old, who supposedly has a release clause of £63m.
The player himself favours a move to the Emirates, though, so Everton very much remain outsiders in the race to sign Draxler.
