Pogba’s contract demands revealed as Manchester United eye new deal

Manchester United want to reward Paul Pogba with a new long-term deal to fend off interest from Real Madrid this summer, reports The Sun.

Pogba has emerged as a top transfer target for Madrid following Zinedine Zidane’s return and the United midfielder even talked up a move during the international break.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reiterated his desire to build a team around Pogba and the Red Devils have no intention of losing their star midfielder.

Pogba is happy at United now Solskjaer has replaced Jose Mourinho but wants eye-watering wages of £500,000-a-week to pledge his future to the club.

The 2018 World Cup winner wants to be aligned with Alexis Sanchez as the top earner at Old Trafford and will not settle for anything less.

Sanchez has been nothing but trouble since United signed the attacker in January 2018, with David de Gea also demanding huge sums to renew.

United want to tie down both men to long-term deals before the end of the season but will have to agree to mouth-watering terms to do so.

Pogba has remarkably played a direct hand in 20 league goals for United this season and they have been worth an extra 19 points to Solskjaer’s side.
