Manchester United are monitoring the progress of Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg with a view to making a move in the summer, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Dolberg, 19, has enjoyed a sensational breakthrough campaign for the Dutch giants this season and his exploits in front of goal have already seen him linked with a move to a host of big European clubs.
Ajax aren’t likely to allow the teenager to leave cheaply, particularly if he continues to find the back regularly, neither will United be the only side interested in his services.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic coming towards the end of his career, Jose Mourinho will need to address that area of the pitch sooner rather than later. Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann is United’s top target but any deal to bring the France international to Old Trafford isn’t likely until 2018 at the earliest.
Only Twente forward Enes Unal (10) has scored more goals in Europe’s top leagues of all teenagers than Dolberg (8) this season.
