Watford have announced captain Troy Deeney has put pen to paper on a new five-year deal keeping him at the club until 2021.
Deeney, 27, has been subject to intense interest from Premier League champions Leicester City this summer and the Foxes reportedly failed with a bid of £30m for the England striker.
However, Leicester will have to look at alternative options after Deeney committed his long-term future to the Hornets on improved terms.
Only Odion Ighalo (15) scored more goals in the Premier League last season than Deeney (13) for Watford last season.
