Pep Guardiola is on the verge of extending his stay at Bayern Munich, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.
The former Barcelona head coach has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months with his current deal at Bayern due to expire at the end of the season.
Chelsea have emerged as strong admirers of the Spaniard following their dismal start to the season and suggestions Jose Mourinho is close to being sacked.
However, they could now be served a huge blow in their search for a potential successor, with the 44-year-old close to extending his stay at the Allianz Arena.
At the weekend, Bayern lost their 100 per cent record in the league when they were held to a shock 0-0 draw with Frankfurt on Friday. The Bundesliga champions are still five points clear of their nearest challengers, Borussia Dortmund.
