Real Sociedad sign Manchester United outcast in £9.8m deal

Spanish side Real Sociedad have announced they have signed Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj in a deal worth a reported £9.8m.

Januzaj dropped completely out of favour at United after enjoying a startling breakthrough period for the Premier League giants during David Moyes’ time at the club in 2013.

After farming the 22-year-old on loan to Sunderland last season, Jose Mourinho confirmed in April he had already made his mind up on Januzaj’s future and he has now signed a five-year deal with La Real.

United are looking to avoid the mistakes they made with Paul Pogba and Michael Keane and have included a buy-back option in to their deal with Sociedad, which at least covers them if Januzaj fulfils his talent.

Only seven players had more shots without scoring a single Premier League goal last season than Januzaj (26).
