Sevilla are the surprise frontrunners to sign Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen in the summer, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, via The Daily Mirror.
Allen, 26, has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular at Anfield since making the switch from Swansea in 2012 and will only have one year remaining on his current deal at the end of the season.
The Wales international isn’t expected to be handed a new deal and is likely to be a casualty of Jurgen Klopp’s shake-up in the summer, with Sevilla tracking his situation.
Allen has only started four league matches this season and his WhoScored.com rating (6.38) is the worst of any Liverpool player to have made one start in the league this season.
