Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed he turned down an offer from former side AC Milan over the summer.
Ibrahimovic, 34, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 champions since the end of last season and is widely expected to move on next summer.
However, the Sweden international has now revealed he could have returned to Milan over the summer, who he claims are the best side he has played for.
“Last summer there was a great offer from Milan, Ibrahimovic is quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport. “If I had said yes, a deal would have been completed.
“However we didn’t reach that point as it wasn’t what I wanted. However I am grateful to Milan.
“They are the best club I’ve ever played for, and I’ve played for a lot of important teams.”
The veteran striker is currently the second highest rated player according to WhoScored (8.33) across Europe’s top five leagues.
