United and Liverpool scout Marseille forward

Manchester United and Liverpool were among the Premier League clubs in attendance to watch Marseille forward Georges-Kevin N’Koudou at the weekend, according to The Guardian.

Both Premier League clubs had scouts in the stands at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais to keep a close eye on N’Koudou in Marseille’s 1-1 draw with Lyon in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

N’Koudou, 20, only joined Marseille from Nantes £1m deal over the summer but his performances have already courted interest from the likes of United and Liverpool, as well as West Ham, who also had scouts at the game.

Marseille may be languishing down in eighth, but the France Under-21 international has impressed nonetheless. A fee of around £15m is believed to be enough to prize the youngster away from the Stade Velodrome.

Of players aged 21 and under, no one has played a direct hand in more goals across Europe’s top five leagues and in both of Uefa’s European competitions than N’Koudou (12) this season.
