Juventus have announced Sampdoria will make Emil Audero’s loan stint permanent at the end of the season after triggering their buy-out clause.
Audero joined Sampdoria on a season-long loan deal at the start of the season and has been hugely impressive for the Serie A outfit.
The 22-year-old has even been linked with a summer move to Arsenal, as the Gunners plan for life without Petr Cech at the end of the season.
Sampdoria have reacted by signing Audero on a full-time basis, though this does not rule out a summer exit.
It’s likely that Marco Giampaolo’s side have agreed to pay Juventus €20m (£17.4m) in order to benefit from any potential sale at the end of the season.
Only Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic (11) has kept more clean sheets than Audero (7) in Serie A this season.
