Chelsea make stunning move to re-sign former defender

Chelsea have made a £32m bid to re-sign Paris Saint-Germain defender David Luiz, according to The Daily Mail.

The Blues sold Luiz to the Ligue 1 champions for a record breaking £50m two years ago but have returned to the central defender as Antonio Conte desperately looks to bolster his backline.

Chelsea have already failed with bids for Serie A duo Alessio Romagnoli and Kalidou Koulibaly and it would take a sensational turn of events for PSG to part ways with the 29-year-old on deadline day.

Since the start of last season only four players have completed more accurate through balls than Luiz (11).
