Arsenal to reignite interest in PSG target

Arsenal are set to battle Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of Wolfsburg outcast Julian Draxler after rekindling their interest in the midfielder, reports RMC, via Get French Football.

Draxler, 23, is understood to have played his last match for Wolfsburg after publically expressing his desire to leave the German side after being left out of the squad that lost 5-0 to Bayern Munich last weekend.

The Germany international will reportedly cost suitors €35m (£29m) in January, with PSG and Arsenal set to do battle for his signature next month.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Draxler in the past and were interested in signing the creative midfielder before he left Schalke for Wolfsburg in 2015 and international teammate Mesut Ozil is reportedly trying to convince Draxler to join the north London outfit.

Draxler has failed to score or assist in the Bundesliga this season and no player has had more shots on goal without finding the back of the net than the Wolfsburg No.10 (25).
