Former Hull City manager Steve Bruce is being lined up to replace under fire Stoke City boss Mark Hughes, according to The Daily Express.
Bruce, 55, has been out of work since resigning as Hull manager before the start of the current season and he is now among the frontrunners to replace Hughes as Stoke boss.
His former United teammate has under pressure following Stoke’s disastrous to start to the season, although they did manage to stop the rot with a point against West Brom at the weekend.
The Potters have only taken two points from their opening six league matches and only West Ham (16) have conceded more goals in the Premier League this season than Stoke (15).
