Fellaini unsure over Manchester United future

Marouane Fellaini expects Manchester United to offer him an improved contract in the coming weeks, but is unsure whether to extend his stay at Old Trafford.

The Belgian is free to negotiate with foreign teams from next week, with Super Lig side Besiktas rumoured to be closing in on his signature.

Fellaini has established himself as a key man under Jose Mourinho for United this season and the team has struggled in his absence.

The 30-year-old rejected United’s offer of a new contract earlier in the year and Mourinho has admitted he is worried the Belgium international could leave.

"Man United made me a contract proposal and I think they will make an another one,” the 30-year-old told HUMO.

"I don’t know yet if I’ll accept it - we will see. We [me and Mourinho] talked about it. The coach is someone who respects the decisions of his players."
