Boro increase bid for Fulham striker

Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka is keen to strengthen his side’s push for promotion by signing Fulham striker Ross McCormack, according to Sky Sports.

The Championship leaders have already signed Athletic Club striker Kike Sola on loan for the remainder of the season but the Boro manager is also hopeful of adding McCormack to his offensive options.

Middlesbrough have already had one bid rejected for the 29-year-old, but are now reportedly set to table a £8m bid plus a player to sweeten the deal.

Reports suggest they will look to include 26-year-old Kike in the deal, who has scored four goals in 18 appearances for Karanka’s side this season.

McCormack joined Fulham for a staggering £11m in July 2014 following his goal exploits with Leeds. In fact, no player has scored more goals in the Championship in the last three campaigns than McCormack (60).
