Real Madrid have announced Theo Hernandez has suffered a partial dislocation of his right shoulder and is now set for a spell on the sidelines.
Hernandez picked up a shoulder injury in Madrid’s 3-1 win over Real Sociedad at the weekend after deputising for the suspended Marcelo.
Madrid have announced the 19-year-old will now continue to be assessed in what is a huge blow for the teenager.
“Following tests carried out on Theo Hernandez at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a partial dislocation of the right shoulder. His recovery will continue to be assessed,” a statement read on the club’s official website.
Marcelo was meant to serve a two-game ban after being sent off against Levante but his suspension was halved on appeal and he is now available for Madrid’s next match against Real Betis.
Since the start of last season, only Filipe Luis (76) has completed more dribbles than Hernandez (66) of all defenders in La Liga.
