Norwich step up interest in French striker

Norwich City are in advanced talks with Dutch side Utrecht to sign France Under-21 international Sebastien Haller, according to France Football.

The Canaries are reportedly looking to bolster their offensive options when the transfer window re-opens in January and have seemingly earmarked Haller as the striker to ease the goalscoring burden on Cameron Jerome and Lewis Grabban.

Haller, 21, has spent the last two seasons at Utrecht but only made the switch from Auxerre permanent over the summer and has been in sublime goalscoring form.

In fact, of French players plying their trade across the continent, only Antoine Griezmann (24) has scored more league goals in 2015 than Haller (22).
