Inter have reached an agreement with Wolfsburg to sign Ivan Perisic, according to Sky Sports News.
The Serie A giants have been chasing Perisic’s signature all summer but have failed to find a successful conclusion to their negotiations with Wolfsburg until now.
According to Sky, Wolfsburg have now given Perisic permission to thrash out terms with Inter while the two clubs settle on a payment structure.
Reports have emerged suggesting Inter are trying to take the Croatia international on an initial season-long loan deal in order to spread their payments, whereas Wolfsburg are hoping to receive all the money up front.
A compromise is needed, but a deal that has dragged for months now seems to be heading towards its conclusion with Perisic close to becoming Inter’s eighth signing of the summer.
In the last two seasons, only two Wolfsburg players have scored more league goals than Perisic (15).
