Watford are ready to pounce for West Brom striker Sadio Berahino after his proposed move to Stoke City has slowed, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Berahino, 22, has been heavily linked with a move away from West Brom since the start of last season and has been subject to heavy interest from Stoke already this summer.
However, the Potters are unwilling to match West Brom’s £20m valuation with their only being 12 months remaining on Berahino’s existing deal and Watford are willing to table an offer in the coming days in a bid to gazump Mark Hughes’ side.
Of West Brom players that started more than 10 games in the Premier League last season, no one achieved a lower WhoScored.com rating than Berahino (6.33).
