Tottenham have had an opening €22m (£20m) offer for Valencia right-back Joao Cancelo rejected, reports Pizza Deportiva, via Football Espana.
The Premier League outfit have earmarked Cancelo as a potential replacement for Kyle Walker, who joined Manchester City in a £50m deal earlier this summer.
With Kieran Trippier currently sidelined with injury, Mauricio Pochettino was forced to play 20-year-old Kyle Walker-Peters at right-back against Newcastle on Sunday.
Tottenham only have a few weeks remaining to sign another right-back and Pochettino’s side will need to match Valencia’s reported €25m (£22.7m) offer if they are to sign Cancelo.
