Griezmann’s stunning Manchester United demands revealed

Antoine Griezmann has told Manchester United he wants a stunning £400,000-a-week deal to leave Atletico Madrid at the end of the season, claims The Sun.

United have been regularly linked with a move for the Atletico star in the last 18 months and are expected to rekindle their interest at the end of the season.

Barcelona were the frontrunners to sign Griezmann this summer but it’s unclear whether they can now afford him after making Philippe Coutinho the third most expensive player of all-time on Sunday.

Griezmann has reportedly now told United that he is prepared to snub Barcelona and move to Old Trafford but only if they make offer him a club record deal.

Jose Mourinho’s side were willing to table an initial £290,000-a-week deal for the France international but have been told that will not be good enough to sign the 26-year-old.

Griezmann has played a direct hand in nine goals in 15 league appearances so far this season (five goals, four assists), but is only Atletico’s sixth highest WhoScored rated player in La Liga as things stand (7.13).
