Tottenham outcast in talks to leave

French side Rennes are in talks with Tottenham to hand Georges-Kevin NKoudou with a route out of his Premier League hell, reports Sky Sports.

NKoudou has spent the last two years at Tottenham after completing a £9m deal from Marseille in 2016 but has failed to make impact at the club.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Burnley and even struggled for first-team opportunities at Turf Moor before returning to Spurs this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino deems NKoudou surplus to requirements and he could secure a move away from the club before Friday’s transfer deadline for some European countries.

Rennes want to prise NKoudou back to France and hope to conclude a season-long loan deal with their Premier League counterparts in the next 24 hours

The former France Under-21 international has made nine Premier League appearances for Tottenham but has never started in the competition.

During his final league campaign for Marseille, NKoudou scored five goals and provided three assists, while completing 2.3 dribbles per game.
