Manchester United ponder move for £50m-rated Premier League youngster
Manchester United are weighing up a summer move for Bournemouth winger David Brooks, claims The Sun.
Brooks, who is a boyhood United fan, enjoyed a thoroughly impressive maiden Premier League campaign for the Cherries last season.
Ryan Fraser’s displays stole the headlines for Bournemouth last season but Brooks’ emergence was arguably as impressive, if not more so.
Brooks has already been linked with a move to Tottenham in the last 12 months but it has now emerged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a fan of the 21-year-old.
Bournemouth are already battling to keep Fraser from the clutches of the Premier League’s top-six and are now bracing themselves for interest in Brooks.
Eddie Howe’s side are determined to fend off interest in Brooks and will demand any suitor pays at least £50m to prise him away from Dean Court.
Brooks played a direct hand in 12 goals in 30 Premier League appearances in his first ever top-flight campaign.
