Manchester City are lining up a summer move for Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic as Pep Guardiola prepares to replace Claudio Bravo after just one season, reports Calciomercato.
Bravo, 33, joined City from Barcelona at the start of the season but has thoroughly underwhelmed for Guardiola’s side and has even dropped out of the side as a result of his poor form.
Guardiola has no interest in brining Joe Hart back from his loan move at Torino at the end of the season and is already drawing up potential replacements for Bravo, with Handanovic featuring on the list.
The 32-year-old has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Serie A since joining Inter from Udinese in 2012, although his performances have perhaps flown under the radar in a division that boasts Gianluigi Buffon.
In fact, in the last four Serie A campaigns Handanovic has saved at least two more penalties than any other goalkeeper (8).
