Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips has told the club that he wishes to depart this summer, reports Football Insider.
The England international struggled during a half-season loan spell at West Ham last season, making only eight league appearances.
Since signing for Manchester City from boyhood club Leeds in the summer of 2022, Phillips has made just two Premier League starts under Pep Guardiola.
Fellow Premier League clubs Everton and Aston Villa are believed to be keeping an eye on the midfielder but would prefer a loan move, rather than a permanent one, at this stage.
Of the 290 players to have made 5+ appearances in the Premier League in 2024, Kalvin Phillips is the lowest rated (5.91). 😬 pic.twitter.com/G5vE6KxgXC

It is claimed that City are looking to cut their losses on the 28-year-old, and would sanction a cut-price sale in order to offload Phillips as quickly as possible.
