West Brom are set to make their first signing of the January transfer window after having a £10m bid for Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore accepted, reports The Daily Mirror.
Tony Pulis has earmarked the signing of a new central midfielder as a priority this month and has turned to Livermore after missing out on Morgan Schneiderlin.
Livermore is due to undergo his medical at West Brom’s training ground on Thursday with a view to completing his switch before the weekend’s action.
The 27-year-old has spent the last three years with Hull after joining from Tottenham in a deal worth £8m in 2014 and the former England international is likely to pocket £50,000-a-week at the Hawthorns.
Livermore has completed more passes than any other Hull player in the Premier League this season (914) and his loss will be a real blow to their chances of beating the drop.
