Juventus striker heading to Valencia

Simone Zaza’s father has confirmed the Juventus striker will join Valencia on loan for the remainder of the season after having his stay with West Ham cut short.

The Italy international joined West Ham at the start of the campaign on an initial season-long loan deal with a view to making it permanent at the end of the season but he has now returned to Juventus after a disastrous six months in England.

Zaza, 25, will now join up with La Liga strugglers Valencia for the remainder of the season after Los Che agreed a deal that would see the Spanish side pay Juventus a €2m (£1.8m) loan fee with a view to making it permanent in June for a further €16m (£14m).

“My son’s going to Valencia,” Antonio Zaza told AS.

Zaza is yet to score a goal in any competition this season after failing to find the back of the net with West Ham during his 11 appearances.
