Juventus offer two players to Manchester United in exchange for Lukaku

Juventus have started negotiations with Manchester United about signing Romelu Lukaku, reports The Sun.

The Old Lady have entered the race to sign Lukaku and are now considered favourites for his signature ahead of their Serie A rivals Inter.

Inter are unable to match United’s £80m valuation and Juventus are now hoping to steal a march in negotiations.

Reports in Italy claim Juventus are willing to send Paulo Dybala to Old Trafford in return for Lukaku and a fee of around £10m.

Dybala has lost his superstar status at Juventus in the last 12 months following Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival and is free to leave the Serie A champions.

However, The Sun claim Juventus are remarkably ready to offer Dybala and Mario Mandzukic in addition to £10m to sign Lukaku.

Neither player feature prominently in Maurizio Sarri’s plans next season, though it’s unclear whether United are interested in either player.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear he only wants to sign young, ambitious players and Mandzukic turned 33 at the end of last season.

United would have jumped at the chance to sign Dybala last summer but that is certainly not the case now.

Failed transfers like Alexis Sanchez, Angel di Maria and Radamel Falcao have forced United to re-think their recruitment strategy.

Lukaku failed to hit the heights expected last term and weighed in with just 12 league goals for United – his lowest tally in a single league campaign since 2014/15 (10).
