Fernando Torres has decided to leave Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window and has offers from China and MLS, reports AS.
The former Spain international penned a new 12-month contract in the summer after Atletico failed in their appeal to overturn a FIFA-imposed transfer ban.
However, Torres has barely featured for Atletico this season and game time will be limited further when Diego Costa returns to first-team action for Diego Simeone’s side in 2018.
The 33-year-old returned for a second spell with Atletico in 2015 but now has offers from around the world and is expected to finally call time on his career with the Rojiblancos in January.
Torres has only managed 241 minutes of playing time across league and European competition this season and is yet to score for Simeone’s struggling side. Despite that, the veteran striker is still the club’s all-time record scorer.
