Sevilla boss Jorge Sampoali has admitted he would relish the opportunity to again work with Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.
Alexis has just 15 months left to run on his current deal with the Gunners and is widely expected to leave the Emirates at the end of the season.
Arsenal are keen to see him pen a new deal, but would rather cash in on their star man rather than risk losing him on a free in 2018.
Sampaoli, who worked alongside Alexis during his time together as Chile head coach, has since added fuel to the fire by revealing he is keen on a reunion with the player, with Sampaoli one of those mooted as a possible replace for Arsene Wenger, who is tipped to leave Arsenal at the end of the season.
Ahead of Sevilla’s Champions League meeting with Leicester, Sampoali is quoted as saying by Sky Sports: “If only, yes, it would be great to have the chance one day [to coach Sanchez].
"He is a top, top player. One of the best forwards in the world I would say.
"I was lucky to share a time with him in the national team. We went to a World Cup together, we won the Copa America with him in the side as well, it was a very satisfying period of my career and it was great to share it with Alexis."
A host of teams are monitoring Alexis’ situation at Arsenal, with PSG, Manchester City and Juventus all tracking the Premier League’s second highest rated player (7.85).
