Everton manager Marco Silva is considering a shock move to sign former Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri, claims The Daily Mail.
Nasri is currently serving a six-month drugs ban dating back from February but he will be free to resume his career next month.
The 31-year-old is a free agent and Silva has reportedly floated the idea of signing Nasri with his staff.
Silva is keen to provide back-up for Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson and believes Nasri could bolster Everton’s push for a European finish.
Everton have made a positive start to life under Silva and the Portuguese has managed to bring the best out of Sigurdsson in recent weeks.
The Iceland international has scored four goals in eight league games this season and is the fifth highest WhoScored rated player in the division (7.52).
Richarlison has also been a hit at Goodison Park since making a shock move from Watford in excess of £40m over the summer.
Despite being sent off against Bournemouth, the Brazil international has also netted four league goals, albeit in two fewer games than Sigurdsson.
