Maguire losing patience with Leicester amid Manchester United interest

Harry Maguire feels Leicester are pricing him out of a move to Manchester United and is losing patience with the club, claims The Sun.

United have earmarked Maguire as their top transfer target to bolster their defensive options but Leicester are holding out for a world-record fee.

Leicester want United to eclipse the £75m fee Liverpool paid for Virgil Van Dijk two years ago and are demanding in the region of £90m.

The Red Devils are not willing to match Leicester’s valuation and believe their latest offer, of £70m, is more than far for the England international.

Leicester have a verbal agreement with Maguire from last summer to let the 26-year-old leave if a satisfactory bid is received.

Maguire, who skipped Leicester training on Monday through illness, does not believe the Foxes are sticking to their end of the deal.

Maguire is desperate to join United and follow in the footsteps of some of his childhood idols, including Steve Bruce and Rio Ferdinand, but time is running out in the transfer window.

Of players that contested at least 30 aerial duels in the Premier League last season, Maguire had the best success rate (77.6%).
